Autumn Grove Enjoys Big Weekend

Soper, Sports Editor Originally published July 17, 2009 BERLIN- Autumn Grove Stables in Berlin enjoyed a highly successful weekend in two horse shows in the region last weekend, collecting first-place ribbons in several categories during the competitions. At the Wicomico Equestrian Club show, Mae Purnell, riding Minnie, was named Reserve Champion- Short Stirrup, while Dakota Quelland on Elsewhere won a first- and two sixth-place finishes in Children’s Hunter. Devon Zorn and Smooth Criminal were champions of the Children’s Hunter, while Miranda Bryant was first in the 14-17 Medal. Jill Van Orden was first in Adult Medal and Jordan Bryant was third in Adult Medal. Maddie Farlow qualified for an under-14 medal and also was named Reserve Champion on Tango. On Day One at the Granite Springs event, Paige Kreppel, on board Abby, was champion of the short stirrup; Carrie Dortenzo, on Felix, was champion of the beginner division; and Georgia Parolski and Sunny were champions of the pleasure division. On Day Two at Granite Springs, Isabel Golden and Fritz were champions of the Mini-Stirrup; Paige Kreppel was champion of Short Stirrup Equitation; Carrie Dortenzo and Felix took first-, second-, and third-place in pleasure; Maddie Farlow and Tango were champions of Junior Equitation; and Tommy Bahama was champion of children’s pony. |
Final Event at Autumn Grove This Weekend

Local Riders Enjoy Good Start

Autumn Grove Stables in Berlin kicked off its 2008 show season at the first Chesapeake Bay Horse Show Association (CBHSA) event on April 12 and returned with more than its share of awards and ribbons.
Isabell Golden of Berlin and her pony Moose earned a two firsts and a fourth in Walk Trot Equitation making them champions of the division. Paige Kreppel of Berlin and her pony Abby earned a first and two fourths in the Mini-Stirrup Equitation, while Maddie Farlow and her pony Tommy Bahama earned championships in both the CBHSA Horse and Pony and the Novice Equitation.
Allie Ewing and her pony Occasional Flurries earned a third, a fourth and a fifth in Novice Equitation. Georgia Parolski of South Point and her pony Sunny were named champions of the Pleasure Pony division, while Lindsey Gilbert and her pony Red Rover were the Reserved Champions of Junior Equitation. By The Dispatch Staff Originally published September 11, 2009 Rider Miranda Bryant and her mount The Bright Angel of Autumn Grove Stables in Berlin were recently named Reserved Champions at the Combined Eastern Shore Horse Shoes medal finals. While the CESHS series is over, Autumn Grove’s local Snowflake Series gets underway tomorrow with the first of seven shows at the stable’s Berlin facilities on Sinepuxent Rd. |
Autumn Grove to Host Horse Show

Originally published August 21, 2009 BERLIN- Autumn Grove Stables in Berlin will host the latest in a summer-long series of Chesapeake Bay Horse Shoe Association (CBHSA) events tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, at its facilities just off Sinepuxent Rd. The CBHSA-rated horse and pony show, which will be held tomorrow rain or shine, is the latest in series of events hosted by Autumn Grove. The events start at Autumn Grove’s outdoor ring beginning at 8:30 a.m., with action at the indoor ring beginning at 9 a.m. Autumn Grove has several more events scheduled for later this summer and fall including CBHSA-sanctioned events on October 24 and November 7, which will includes the association’s medal finals.
